Separate a claim, an observation, and a test

An official page can document that a provider offers a field. An independent walkthrough can document what appeared for one reviewer. Only a controlled test using the same known numbers, predefined outcomes, and consistent timing can compare hit rate or match accuracy.

This project completed the first two types of research where sources were available, but not the third. The ranking therefore awards zero accuracy points and labels every total a Documented Feature Score.

Why a plausible profile can still be wrong

Phone numbers are reassigned, ported, shared, and linked to household or business records. Public sources update at different speeds, and a matching system may connect a number to a former user or a person with a similar record.

Caller-ID spoofing creates a separate problem: the listed owner may be correct for the displayed number but unrelated to the call. A detailed profile does not solve that origin problem.

Use independent corroboration

Compare the result with a source created for the relationship you are verifying: an official business website, statement, account portal, or contact already stored from a trusted interaction. Avoid using another people-search site as the only confirmation.

Do not use a result for employment, housing, credit, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-regulated purpose. Even a seemingly accurate profile is not a substitute for an authorized consumer report and required compliance process.
